A plywood veneer manufacturing plant. After trying three different software developers, Atco Wood Products sought out Simply Code to develop a system that would automate the gathering of production data from various machine centers in the plant.

Simply Code IT Solutions developed a solution that, at 5 minute intervals, queries the different machine centers for production specific data. As with all systems, there is some data that can only be manually entered, so a mobile responsive web interface was developed to enter such data. At the end of each shift, the application then amalgamates the gathered data and converts it into useful information for plant managers to effectively direct plant operations.

For example, the application provides automatic emails to the various management personnel with information on production per hour, total production, recovery and downtime. Every week, a chart is automatically produced showing the twenty day trend in production, recovery and plant uptime.

Shop and Share.ca is an eCommerce website that allows clients to make purchases from hundreds of online retailers, while directing a portion of the cost to the client's favourite charity. Simply Code provides maintenance and upgrades to the Shop and Share website. Simply Code enabled the export of information that is crucial to Shop and Share's ability to process its charitable donations. Richelle Skrilec, the Founder and CEO of Shop and Share.ca, has expressed appreciation that Simply Code was able to make changes to the website that other programmers said were not possible.

A large corporation with employees regularly travelling to and from many locations required flight scheduling software. Simply Code developed a web application called Flight Center to meet the needs of this business. Flight Center allows employees to log in securely to schedule flights without having to consult with other workers. All the complexity of tracking the various flight routes and calculating what seats are available on a given route is handled by Simply Code's application, providing a simple, automated process for scheduling and tracking the necessary flights.

CHORUS required a professional online presence to provide information about its work to the public, fellow scientists, and current and potential sponsors. Simply Code provided the expertise in web development and design to produce an attractive and informative website.

Visitors to the website can read the latest news from CHORUS, learn about its research, why that research is important, and what benefits sponsors can receive. Simply Code's website has attracted attention to CHORUS's work, received compliments from current sponsors, and resulted in increases sponsorship for CHORUS.

Easy Trim Reveals website, built and maintained by Simply Code, provides information to clients, distributors and architects. Architects can now download Easy Trim's product specifications from the website, and immediately incorporate the product into designs, instead of having to wait for a specifications package to be mailed out to them. An extensive and attractive gallery section allows potential customers and distributors to view commercial and residential applications of Easy Trim's products.

When Simply Code first met with Kootenay Currency Exchange (KCE), there was no foreign exchange software that was suitable for their needs as a small business. Keeping track of all of KCE's transactions manually proved difficult and time-consuming, resulting in a complex and costly year-end accounting process.

KCE needed a means to track and expedite their business transactions, so Simply Code built a custom application called Function FX. With this new application, all transactions were being recorded and stored in KCE's systems. This increased the speed at which transactions could be processed, and allowed the creation of reports to simplify accounting procedures, resulting in considerable savings on accounting fees.

This new system incorporates connections with external systems to obtain real-time currency and precious metal exchange rates. In addition, it connects to official government websites to obtain the latest information on blacklisted individuals and corporations the US and Canadian government mark as unable to legally make currency exchanges. This application uses modern technologies to allow KCE to continue to grow its business without limitation.

With such a long-standing working relationship, Simply Code is not an outsider to Kootenay Currency Exchange. By providing ongoing support and maintenance, Simply Code has been integral to the success of KCE.

With thousands of work tickets coming from many active wells, Statoil Canada needed a way to streamline the manual processing of these invoices so costs could be tracked immediately and accurate payment could be provided.

Simply Code developed a ticket tracking database for real time recording of the tickets from each oil well. In addition to this database, Simply Code created first a desktop application that subsequently evolved into a web application that allows communication between the many locations where the work tickets are entered in the new ticket tracking database. For Statoil Canada, having work ticket information at their finger tips immediately allows for up-to-date comparison with vendors' purchase orders and accurate payment records, considerably reducing double billing expenses.

The Tight Oil Consortium needed a place on the internet to provide information about its work, researchers and sponsors. The website created by Simply Code has interactive slides containing images, diagrams, graphs and short, informative descriptions of the work being done by the Consortium. The site also has information about the researchers involved, links to sponsors' websites, and a secure login area where members can access research papers.

An independant start-up retailer selling novelty stationery products online, Pig's Paper Clip required a secure eCommerce website to showcase its products. Simply Code worked with Pig's Paper Clip to make that vision a reality. In January 2012 the site went live and Pig's Paper Clip was in business!
